In this session, participants will experience how MQI Coaching, an evidence-based coaching model developed by researchers at Harvard, promotes equity by using classroom video and a detailed observation rubric to help teachers reflect on the type(s) of mathematical thinking being done by each student in their classrooms. The MQI Coaching routines support attainable and sustainable instructional growth, and help teachers raise theirexpectations for all students in mathematics, challenging common biases against certain populations.

The SDP Institute for Leadership in Analytics is a five-day data workshop at Harvard University for education analysts and system leaders who want to leverage data to inform decision making and improve student achievement. The curriculum provides a foundation or refresher course on problem analysis, technical methods, program evaluation, and data visualization and communication techniques. Hands-on activities, including computer lab sessions, demonstrate how to gain key insights around priority topics such as teacher effectiveness or college-going success.
