SUMMARY:PIER Summit
DESCRIPTION:
	Collaborate on Questions of Practice
The Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) at Harvard University believes that education researchers need to ask timely, relevant questions, and practitioners need more research capacity to pursue their most vexing challenges. The Partnering in Education Research (PIER) Summit aims to bridge the gap between research and practice by matching the best minds in the social sciences with education leaders committed to using evidence when making decisions.

The PIER Summit is a two-day gathering hosted by CEPR, where a select group of education leaders will collaborate with Harvard-affiliated researchers to design studies that answer the most pressing questions facing school systems.
We are inviting you to describe a problem for which you are seeking research help.
We will then circulate those questions to a few researchers whom we believe might be able to help. If your project is of mutual interest, we will invite you and the researcher to co-design a research project during the summit.

	Get Involved
Complete a brief online form (http://bit.ly/pier-proposal) regarding your research topic by March 9, 2018. If we can identify a research partner who can help on your project, we will invite you and the researcher(s) to a virtual working session to prepare for the summit. The goal of those virtual meetings is to get your preliminary questions answered beforehand, so that both parties can get down to work while in Boston.

	Download the event flyer
Download sample proposals

*The event is co-sponsored by the Institute for Education Sciences and the Harvard Graduate School of Education
