Atsuko Muroga is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR). Her research focuses on understanding the effectiveness and costs of programs and policies designed to improve the well-being and educational equity of K–12 students and families. At CEPR, she has contributed to several initiatives, including Road to Recovery (R2R), Proving Ground (PG), the Arkansas Tutoring Project, and States Leading States (SLS). Atsuko earned her Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics and Education from Columbia University. She is also an affiliated Economist with the Center for Benefit-Cost Studies of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, she worked at the World Bank for six years, contributing to research and investment projects focused on education and youth development across Cambodia, Mongolia, Morocco, Iraq, Tunisia, and Vietnam.
