Dean Kaplan is a research analyst at CEPR. As an analyst, Dean focuses on the efficacy of interventions that combat absenteeism in K-12 schools. Prior to joining CEPR, Dean earned their Ed.M. from Harvard University where they focused on data analytics and racial equity coursework and their B.S. from the University of Maryland in elementary education. Their past research includes studying empathy development at Making Caring Common at Harvard as well as numeracy and number sense in toddlers with the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology at the University of Maryland.
