Delaware: Hardtime Retaining Teachers

Delaware is having some trouble keeping its teachers.

After only a few years on the job a significant number leave the state…while new teachers are often getting assigned students who need the most help.

That’s the conclusion of findings by the Strategic Data Project, a Harvard group that has been analyzing the state’s statistics.

The study found that more than 15 percent of teachers don’t continue in the same school the following year.
