Julie Jung
Julie Jung is a PhD student in Education Policy and Program Evaluation with a secondary field in Data Science. Her research examines the effectiveness of education policies, programs, and practices, drawing on organizational theory, computational social science, and measurement. She is particularly interested in using Natural Language Processing, psychometrics, and other computational methods to improve measurement and evaluation, understand educational discourse, and study AI-assisted decision-making in education. Prior to beginning her PhD, she received her BS in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. She worked as a research assistant for the Tennessee Education Research Alliance and American Institutes for Research, where she gained experience in education statistics, evaluation, and research-practice partnerships.
