Katie Hyland

Katie is a PhD student in Education Policy and Program Evaluation at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She studies the economics of education, particularly as it relates to the teacher workforce in the K-12 and early childhood education sectors. Katie has an MPP from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a BA in Economics and English from Georgetown University. She previously worked as research assistant with the University of Michigan's Education Policy Initiative and as research associate at the American Institutes for Research on projects in federal school accountability, early childhood education, and higher education. She has worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Kolkata, India. At the University of Michigan, Katie was a Gerald R. Ford Presidential Fellow. Katie is a Presidential Scholar in Harvard's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Her advisor is Eric Taylor.
