Sophia Applegate

Sophia Applegate is the Manager of Research Partnerships and Outreach at the Center for Education Policy Research. As part of this work, Sophia runs the Partnering in Education Research (PIER) Fellowship program, coordinates research partnerships across the organization, and facilitates engagement with the CEPR Advisory Board.

Prior to joining CEPR, Sophia worked in constituent services at the U.S. House of Representatives and in education policy research at the Center for American Progress. Sophia received her B.S.Ed. from the University of Virginia where she studied Youth and Social Innovation. She received her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she studied Education Policy and Analysis.
