In addition to being a Partnering in Education Resarch (PIER) Fellow, Mark Chin was a research analyst for NCTE at CEPR and a member of Heather Hill's instrument development group. Prior to joining NCTE, he worked as a research assistant at Swarthmore, where he examined the relationship between preservice math teacher characteristics and the development of mentoring abilities in an online environment for the education department, as well as testing individuals on measures of self-control and spatial/temporal perception for the psychology department. Mark holds a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College, where he also minored in English and psychology.
